Things to do - general

Spetses is an island of Greece, sometimes included as one of the Saronic Islands. It is a beautiful island with sandy beaches and secluded bays. The capital of the island is an architectural delight featuring many two-storey houses with coloured walls and wooden balconies.

Famous beaches on Spetses include Agios Mamas, in the centre of town, Agioi Anargiroi and Agia Paraskevi around the back of the island, Zogeria and two beaches close to the town, College beach and Agia Marina, both offering watersports.

Attractions in Spetses include its famous beaches, the old harbor and various historical buildings including museums, mansions, churches and monasterys. The celebrations of the Panaghia Armata during the summer season and the island’s Easter celebrations are highlights.
